Allandale Station Retirement Residence is seeking an individual to fulfill the role of Community Relations Manager. In this role, the incumbent will contribute to the positive occupancy of the retirement residence by coordinating all aspects of marketing and sales process, including, but not limited to: organizing move-ins and move-outs; transitioning short-term stays to permanent residents; event planning and assistance; database management; completing reports in an accurate and timely manner, residency agreements; liaising with the wellness team to coordinate assessments ahead of resident move-ins; and residence readiness for touring guests and new move-ins. This role will also include booking and conducting tours; making sales calls; and closing sales.

Other key responsibilities for this position, include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assisting, as required, to develop and execute the sales process to help seniors and their families make an informed decision when choosing a retirement community;
- Contributing to the development and assisting with the execution of meaningful marketing, event, and community outreach plans;
- Attending and providing assistance at planned marketing events;
- Providing orientation, as required, to new residents, ensuring a smooth transition into the retirement community;
- Providing assistance to manage telephone inquiries and convert these inquiries into tours in a professional and timely manner;
- Assisting with tracking sales activity in the retirement community’s CRM database, as well as completing daily and assigned tasks from the database in an accurate and timely manner;
- Providing assistance with community outreach initiatives to positively promote the retirement community;
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with residents/prospects and their families and identifying if any concerns exist and bringing such concerns to the General Manager;
- Other related duties, as assigned.
Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Two (2) years of sales and marketing coordination experience in a similar setting;
- Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma in business with an area of focus in marketing/sales, communications, and/or public relations is an asset;
- Ability to communicate to our residents/prospects, their families, colleagues, etc., in a friendly and professional manner;
- The ability to successfully follow an established sales process, including generating leads and closing sales transactions;
- Effective time management skills to work under specified time constraints;
- Outgoing personality that engages others; ability to successfully network in varying situations;
- The ability to focus on multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment;
- Must be able to use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters;
- The ability to conduct your work on a computer utilizing Microsoft Office programs and a CRM database;
- The successful candidate must be prepared to be flexible in the hours of work to accommodate marketing and sales activities of the retirement community, including working some weekends;
- Valid provincial Driver’s Licence is required;
- A criminal records/vulnerable sector screen, TB screening using a two-step Mantoux tuberculin test, and satisfactory professional references.
